Catering invoice generator for Gibraltar

Create a Gibraltar catering invoice for weddings, corporate events and parties, with event venue, guest count, service style and deposit/balance-due fields built in, then download a clean PDF. Gibraltar has no VAT, so catering services are billed with no tax line at all.

Catering is one of the few Gibraltar trades with its own named licence category — the Office of Fair Trading's Trade Licence list groups "Catering" together with canteens, caterers, clubs, hoteliers and publicans, so a specific licence (not just a general Business Licence) is required.

What to include on a Gibraltar catering invoice

  • Business name, OFT Catering Trade Licence reference and contact details.
  • Event date, venue/location and event type.
  • Guest count and service style (buffet, plated, passed hors d'oeuvres, drop-off, family style).
  • Deposit received, automatically deducted to show the balance due.
  • No VAT line — food and service are billed gross.

Food hygiene registration — with no public ratings scheme

All premises handling open food — including vans, carts and stalls — must register with the Environmental Agency, which enforces the Food and Drugs Act (1964) and the Food Hygiene Regulations (1977) on behalf of the Gibraltar Government. Inspections cover premises cleanliness, food storage, temperature control and stock rotation, pest-proofing, waste disposal and staff training; no published inspection frequency was found, so avoid assuming a fixed schedule such as "annual."

Unlike the UK's Food Hygiene Rating Scheme ("scores on the doors"), Gibraltar has no public hygiene-rating disclosure scheme — customers cannot look up a caterer's inspection score online.

A named Trade Licence category — and no VAT

Catering is explicitly named as one of the Office of Fair Trading's licensable trades (grouped with canteens, caterers, clubs, hoteliers and publicans), unlike many other service trades that fall under only the general Business Licence regime — check your OFT licence covers catering specifically.

Gibraltar has no VAT and never has had one, so catering services are billed gross with no tax line. From 15 July 2026, a new Transaction Tax applies to imported goods only — ingredients, disposables and equipment brought in may carry this cost as a supplier expense, but it is never itemized as a tax line on the customer-facing catering invoice.
