Towing invoice generator for Belgian tow operators and recovery jobs
Create a Belgian towing or vehicle recovery invoice for roadside assistance, accident towing, breakdown recovery, winching, storage, release fees, insurer billing, fleet jobs and workshop transfers.
Belgian towing paperwork should identify one vehicle, one intervention and each charge. This matters for drivers, insurers, fleets, garages, police-called tows, storage disputes and vehicle release.
What a Belgian towing invoice should include
- Tow operator name, enterprise/VAT number, address, phone and payment details.
- Customer, insurer, fleet account, garage, police, roadside-assistance or property-manager reference.
- Vehicle make, model, colour, VIN if available, licence plate and country of registration.
- Pickup or incident location, destination, storage facility and tow date/time.
- Call-out, hook-up, kilometres, winching, recovery labour, after-hours surcharge, storage days, admin and release fees separately.
- Authority to tow, claim number, policy number, police report, repair order or fleet reference in the notes.
VAT and regulated Belgian towing details
Belgian towing and vehicle recovery services normally start from the 21% standard VAT rate unless a specific insurance, public-authority or cross-border arrangement changes the billing treatment.
Wallonia’s 2019 towing framework states that the relevant tariff grid is excluding VAT and that invoices can need intervention reports and traceability information. Even outside that exact framework, it is good Belgian practice to itemize call-out, tow, distance, storage, release and surcharges clearly.
Storage, release and police-called tows
The Federal Police warns that daily storage costs can increase when a vehicle remains with the towing service. If storage applies, show each day or date range separately and state release terms in the notes.
For accident, police, insurer or fleet billing, include the claim number, police reference, fleet unit, repair order or authority-to-tow so the payer can verify why the vehicle was moved and where it went.
Common Belgian towing invoice mistakes
- Leaving out vehicle plate, pickup location, destination or tow date.
- Combining call-out, tow, kilometres, winching, storage and release into one unexplained amount.
- Not showing the police, insurer, fleet or authority-to-tow reference.
- Failing to separate storage days from the initial recovery.
- Omitting VAT or treating regulated tariff amounts as VAT-inclusive when the tariff grid is excluding VAT.
