How to use a Belgian salon invoice template
A Belgian salon template should separate the client appointment from retail product sales and chair or room rental. Use it for hair, barber, nails, beauty, spa, deposits, packages, no-show fees and tips.
Fields to keep in the template
- Salon, barber, spa, nail studio or stylist name, enterprise/VAT number and payment details.
- Client, appointment date and stylist, barber, nail tech, therapist or practitioner.
- Service category such as cut, colour, barbering, nails, facial, waxing, massage or spa package.
- Services, retail products, tools, gift cards, package credits, no-show fees and cancellation fees separately.
- Voluntary tip, deposit, amount paid, balance due and aftercare notes.
- Chair, room or booth rental period and station reference when billing an independent operator.
VAT, products and aesthetic treatments
Use 21% Belgian VAT as the practical starting point for ordinary taxable salon, hair, barber, beauty and retail product charges. Belgium removed the VAT exemption for purely aesthetic medical treatments from 2016, so medical aesthetic care should be reviewed separately.

Should retail products be separate?
Yes. Separate shampoo, skincare, tools, gift cards and products from services.
Can this be used for chair rental?
Yes, but create a separate invoice to the stylist or practitioner with rental period, chair, room or station details.
