How to use a Belgian photography invoice template
A Belgian photography template should state what the client is buying: shoot time, editing, deliverables, prints, video, travel, retainer and usage rights. Use it for weddings, portraits, events, real estate, brand work and commercial campaigns.
Fields to keep in the template
- Photographer, videographer or studio name, enterprise/VAT number and payment details.
- Client, project, campaign, event, PO or agency reference.
- Shoot date or range, location, venue and package type.
- Deliverables such as edited image count, gallery, prints, album, video length, reels or raw footage.
- Usage rights: media, territory, duration, exclusivity and commercial scope.
- Shoot fee, editing, assistant, travel, studio, prints, licensing, retainer, VAT and balance due.
VAT and droits d’auteur
Ordinary taxable photography and videography services generally start from 21% Belgian VAT. If the invoice includes genuine copyright or droits d’auteur income, keep the licensing component separate and verify withholding and eligibility treatment before using special wording.
Why usage rights belong in the template
Belgian agencies, brands and event clients often need rights wording for approval and later reuse. Keeping media, territory, duration and exclusivity in the template prevents generic invoices from becoming ambiguous.
