Add watermark to PDF
Files stay in your browser. PDF bytes are not uploaded.
Drop PDF files here
Add one PDF or a batch. Large files depend on your browser memory.
Preview
Add a watermark to a PDF without uploading the file. It is useful for Malta business proposals, invoice copies, draft agreements, internal policies, training documents, client reports, property paperwork, and PDFs that need a visible “Draft”, “Confidential”, “Sample”, “Paid”, company name, or logo before sharing.
The workflow is intentionally direct: choose text or a logo, preview placement, adjust opacity, rotation and pages, then download a new PDF. For multiple files, apply one profile and export a ZIP.
How to add a watermark to a PDF
Choose PDFs
Select one or more PDFs. Files are read in your browser and do not need to be uploaded.
Add text or logo
Use text such as Confidential, Draft, Sample or Paid, or choose a PNG/JPEG logo.
Set placement and pages
Adjust opacity, rotation, layer, tiling, and target pages including ranges.
Download
Export a new watermarked PDF or a ZIP when processing a batch.
Text watermarks for drafts and client files
Text watermarks make a document’s status clear. Common labels include “DRAFT”, “CONFIDENTIAL”, “SAMPLE”, “PAID”, “INTERNAL”, a client name, or a project code. Keep the text short and start with 20–30% opacity so the PDF stays readable.
A diagonal centre mark works well on draft contracts and review files. A corner mark is cleaner for invoices, statements and reports where amounts, dates and signatures must remain unobstructed.
Logo and image watermarks
Image mode supports company logos, approval stamps and project marks. Transparent PNG is best for logos because it avoids a white box around the artwork. JPEG is fine for rectangular images.
If the logo sits over content, reduce opacity and check portrait and landscape pages before export.
Page ranges and tiled watermarks
Mark all pages or target only a cover page, appendices, odd/even pages, or custom ranges such as 1-3, 7, 10-. Tiled watermarks repeat across the page and are useful for confidential review copies or samples.
Browser privacy
Watermarking runs in the browser, which helps for files containing client details, commercial terms, HR data or internal notes. The original PDF is not overwritten; a new copy is created.
Watermark limits
A visible watermark is a label, not redaction, DRM, password protection or a digital signature. Adding a watermark to a signed PDF normally invalidates the cryptographic signature because the file changed.
Troubleshooting
If the mark is too strong, reduce opacity. Use transparent PNG for logos with no white background. Unlock encrypted PDFs first and preview unusual page sizes before downloading.
