How to count days between two dates in Australia
Enter a start date and an end date in the Date Difference tab. The calculator returns the total calendar days, business days (Monday–Friday excluding public holidays), weekend days, and any public holidays in the range.
Australia has both national public holidays and state/territory-specific holidays. Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday, and additional days around Christmas and New Year vary by state. Select ACT, NSW, VIC, or QLD from the region selector to apply the correct holidays for your state.

Add or subtract days from an Australian date
Use the Add / Subtract tab to calculate a date a set number of days, weeks, months, or years from a starting date. Toggle "Business days only" to skip weekends and public holidays.
This is commonly needed for: statutory payment deadlines (many Australian contracts specify 30 days EOM), notice periods under the Fair Work Act (which uses calendar days for most minimum notice entitlements), cooling-off periods for property contracts (typically 5 business days in NSW and VIC), and ATO lodgement deadlines.
Age calculator for Australia
The Age tab shows your exact age in years, months, and days, your total age in days and weeks, and days until your next birthday. Useful for: Age Pension eligibility (currently age 67), superannuation access (preservation age is 60 for those born after June 1964), and school enrolment cut-off dates (which vary by state — ACT, NSW, and VIC cut off at 31 July; QLD at 30 June).
ISO week numbers in Australia
Australia uses ISO 8601 week numbering, where weeks start on Monday and week 1 is the week containing the first Thursday of the year. Australian businesses and project managers commonly reference ISO week numbers in schedules and production calendars. Use the Week Number tab to look up any date.
